Jews Don’t Count with David Baddiel and Armando Iannucci

History &
Social Policy

There’s one identity that identity politics ignores. One kind of racism that is too often overlooked. That’s the claim made by comedian and writer David Baddiel in his new book, Jews Don’t Count. He has written the book not for the hate-mongers of the alt-right but for the progressives of the Left, for people fighting the good fight against homophobia, disablism, transphobia and, particularly, racism.

On April 13 Baddiel comes to Intelligence Squared to set out what he sees as the double standard that is so often applied to Jews. And he will ask why, in a time of intensely heightened awareness of minorities, do Jews not count as a real one? Baddiel will be speaking with the writer and broadcaster Armando Iannucci. Join us for this important cultural conversation and have your chance to put your questions to the speakers.
