Climate change is an existential crisis we are all facing. To protect our planet for future generations we need to reach net zero by 2050 – the point at which the total amount of greenhouse emissions released into the atmosphere is equal to or less than the amount of emissions we are able to remove from the atmosphere. This will be a monumental task to achieve over the next three decades, requiring real innovation and collaboration between governments, corporations and individuals. Society will have to move away from an over-reliance on fossil fuels to create a global economy centered around renewable energy sources. We are in the midst of The Great Energy Transition.
